Meet Chris Crevling, Noble’s Newest Developer

Chris Crevling is a great addition to the technical service team. He brings new, positive energy and perspective to Noble Studios. It’s been fun getting to know Chris and learning more about his passion for eSports and coding.

Role

I program Web applications using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and CSS3. Problem-solving is another important aspect of my job. I take a technical problem, diffuse it and fix it the most efficient way possible.  I love my job. I could literally sit here and write code all day, every day.

When did you join Noble Studios?

I joined Noble Studios on what I mark as the best day ever, November 5, 2012!

How did you become interested in the industry?

I’ve known I wanted to be a programmer since the seventh grade. That’s when I learned HTML from my friend in the library after a rousing game of Dungeons and Dragons.

What’s one of your long-term goals?

I plan to keep working on my craft but in the long term I plan to travel abroad across Europe. I also want to continue broadcasting eSports professionally and launch my own LAN event nationally, one that will blow all other spontaneous LAN events out of the water!

What are some other aspects of your job you most enjoy?

I enjoy making something out of nothing, the ability to learn something new every day and of course, listening to awesome music when I work.

What’s your favorite place to sit back and relax or vacation?

Hamar, Norway is beautiful and the people are nice. It’s also the first place I traveled out of the country on my own. I don’t have a long list of places I’ve visited but traveling aboard is only on my mind.

What’s your favorite sports team?

My favorite sports team is Team Dignitas - StarCraft II, an International eSports team based in Great Britain.

What’s your favorite local restaurant to have lunch?

I’m a big fan of Mi Casa 2. I always order the fajita burrito.

Interesting factoid about you…

I’ve been a professional StarCraft II broadcaster for the eSports community for two years, and I have more than 10,000 loyal fans.

Want to learn more about Chris’ passion? Keep the conversation going and ask him a question about eSports in the comments below.
