When did you join Noble Studios?
November 5, 2012
How did you become interested in the industry?
When I was a kid I used to draw a lot and thought I would eventually become an animator. When I went to college I realized I did not like drawing as much as animator draws. Then I discovered graphic design in college. I thought it would an exciting career and allow me to continue being creative. After working a few jobs screen printing, I decided it was the right fit for me. I love what I do.
What’s one of your long-term goals?
One of my long-term goals is to buy a condo in Cancun or Hawaii so I can relax during the cold winter months when I retire. I don't mind the cold all that much, but I don't mind the beach either.
What are some other aspects of your job you most enjoy?
I enjoy the process of problem solving in every project. Working on a variety of projects requires a different approach, which makes my job so interesting. I especially like collaborating with other people.
What’s your favorite local restaurant to have lunch?
Michael's Deli is good. I like their BLTA Focaccia, which is what I order 99% of the time.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Like I mentioned above, I used to draw a lot when I was a kid. I’m beginning to work on my drawing skills again, but they have faded a little. I plan to continue working on it.
I also like playing basketball and soccer. This summer I did some hiking too, and look forward to doing some more hiking next summer.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I follow the Chivas de Guadalajara (soccer team in Mexico).
What’s your favorite place to sit back and relax or vacation?
My favorite hotspot is Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. I was only there once, but I loved it. It’s hard for me to imagine being stressed in that environment, unless of course, a Tsunami was about to hit. I’m planning to go back there one of these days.
Please help us make Oz feel at home. Wish him luck in his new position in the comments below.
