Autodesk, Inc. hired Noble Studios to create an interactive display to showcase an emerging scientific technology called BioWeatherMapping at TEDGlobal 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Known as “the ultimate brain spa,” where the world's leading thinkers and doers gather to share ideas worth spreading, TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a fast-paced invitation only conference held July 11 -15, 2011.
The BioWeatherMap experiment is a global, grassroots effort intended to explain the geographic and progressive distribution patterns of microbial life.
At the conference themed The Stuff of Life, attendees – CEOs, scientists, designers, and intellectuals alike will visit Autodesk’s exhibit to learn how this breakthrough technology could change the way bacterial information is analyzed and ultimately acted upon by researchers.
This is one of the first explanations of the new technology ever displayed at a major conference. View photos of the exhibit in our photo gallery.
