Michael Thomas is a veteran of the marketing world. He is well-known for building strong relationships with clients and the community. An award-winning executive, Michael helps Noble Studios’ clients refine their marketing ideas and works closely with the team to bring them to life. He oversees the creation and execution of brand and digital strategies for high-profile clients, including AirAsia, Autodesk, Hotwire, Newport Beach, Tahoe South, Union Square San Francisco, Virgin Holidays, Wildfire by Google, and more.
Michael joined Noble Studios in May 2010 as the vice president of business development. With 20 years of proven leadership and marketing expertise, he played an instrumental role in growing Noble Studios into one of Nevada’s fastest growing digital agencies with client roster of global brands – eBay, Cisco, HTC, Ford, Paramount Pictures, Verizon, among others. He was named partner in May 2011.
Prior to joining Noble Studios, Michael was the executive director of marketing for the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, where he managed the marketing and public relations initiatives for the region’s largest tourism agency.
Michael was inducted into the inaugural class of Twenty under 40 award winners by the Reno-Gazette Journal and the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network. He is also recipient of the Mark Twain Community Service Award given by the Public Relations Society of America and has been named Marketer of the Year by the Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association.
A former broadcast journalist, Michael is an avid speaker on digital strategy, tourism and marketing. Most recently, he appeared on MSNBC’s Your Business to talk about the importance of visual storytelling and how to create a successful infographic to share complex data sets. He has been a guest speaker at the American Marketing Association, Nevada Commission on Tourism and SMG Tourism Conference.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California and sits on the board of Western Industrial Nevada (WIN), KNPB, and Renown Health’s advisory board.
Outside of Noble Studios, Michael likes to be outside fishing, golfing, hiking, and biking. He enjoys watching live sporting events, camping, movies, music and tasting beer and wine. Of course, family time and getaways are always at the top of his list.
