Nevada Medal Event

A social media campaign is a lot like a science experiment. Both require the perfect formula for success.

Our Approach

Noble Studios designed and developed a social media campaign for the Desert Research Institute (DRI) to raise awareness of their scientific efforts in the community and enhance its social presence online.

Our team integrated the five-week science discovery contest into Facebook using the ShortStack platform. Each week a winner was selected at random and a new trivia question about the Mars Rover Project was delivered via a pre-recorded video by a leading scientist.

Facebook users entered the contest by completing a custom form and answer to the question. Non-DRI Facebook fans had to “Like” the page before they were eligible to enter the contest. All the information entered was stored in a database and exported as a CSV file. Once users completed the form, they were invited to share the contest with their friends or on Twitter using the hashtag #DRIDiscovery.

Noble Studios also shot, edited and produced the pre-recorded videos for the campaign.   The video was an integrated part of the campaign and was shot at three different locations in Nevada.
