Our Assistant Video / Motion Graphics Editor at Noble Studios is tasked with editing a wide range of videos and animations for a diverse and growing list of clients across Noble Studios’ key verticals including B2B, travel and tourism. This position is part of the Brand Experience team—balancing storytelling skills and creative thinking with production know-how for traditional and social channels. This person needs to be part assistant video editor, part motion graphics aficionado and part storyteller.
Reporting to our Senior Video & Motion Graphics Editor, the Assistant Video / Motion Graphics Editor is ready for hands-on work on case study videos, sizzle reels, social videos, long-form SEO video and creative campaign videos—and takes the opportunity to push the envelope with every project. You must be comfortable owning video from selects to final export, when required, as well as with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere and After Effects. With a strong understanding of their clients’ audiences and project goals, our Assistant Video / Motion Graphics Editor crafts videos that not only delight, but convert.
Core responsibilities in this role include supporting the pre- and post-production of all Noble Studios’ videos for clients and internal use, handling the storage and organization of all footage, project files, etc, animating graphics for videos, assisting the Senior Video and Motion Graphics Editor, and working with the larger creative team to create engaging, performance-driven and award-worthy videos.

Responsibilities
- Reporting and working under the direction of the Senior Video and Motion Graphics Editor, the Assistant Video / Motion Graphics Editor helps conceptualize, execute and consistently produce high-quality, standout videos.
- Perform traditional assistant video editor tasks: help set up video projects, log and tag footage, organize video projects in Premiere or After
- Effects, make footage selects, backup up footage and video projects, resize videos, and work on final exports for a variety of platforms from social media, streaming services, TV and more.
- Help manage the storage and backup of all video files, project files, graphics files, licenses, etc.
- Support hands-on work at every stage of the video project lifecycle, from accurate estimating, project setup, project execution, producer-related tasks, brainstorming compelling creative concepts, and brand expression through video.
- Create dynamic and original brand animations.
- Manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Work with the Brand Experience team to establish storyboards, shot lists, wardrobe and props.
- Work with our creative directors to source and select music for videos, source and direct voice over talent, etc.
- Strong eye for quality with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Collaborate daily with the Senior Video and Motion Graphics Editor to help build the agency’s internal video team into one that runs smoothly and operates at a high level to perform all video-related tasks for the agency.
- Strong interest in innovation, including, but not limited to exploring AI tools and how they can help us be better every day.
Minimum Requirements
- Four-year degree in visual communication, video, film, graphic design or similar.
- 1-2 years of video editing and/or motion graphics experience at a digital agency, production house or similar setting.
- Basic animation skills are required. Expertise in 3D programs such as Cinema 4D are a plus.
- An online portfolio showcasing your video and animation work.
- Strong storytelling skills and sense of video vision and style.
- A passion for music, and how it moves video along.
- Sense of how to use video editing and motion graphics to drive engagement and conversions.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Working sound design knowledge using Adobe Premiere or Audition.
- Strong teamwork skills and no ego—the ability to work closely with project teams, creative copywriters and designers to make award-winning work for global brands.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, and works well against deadlines.
- Must live in the Reno, NV area or be willing to relocate to the area. This role is not required to work from the office daily, but the requirements of the role (specifically, working with and backing up physical hard drives) requires regular access to the Reno office.

- You must be able to work full-time during Noble’s core business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
- You must be willing and able to be on-site weekly in our Reno office, as needed.
- You will need to qualify as someone who drives on behalf of Noble Studios, which requires a valid Nevada Driver’s License, 2+ years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and at least $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage auto insurance coverage.
