Associate Creative Director, Copy/Content

Apply Now

At Noble Studios, our rallying cry is “Let's be better every day.” We’re looking for a copy connoisseur, content visionary, and conceptual thinker who thrives on both strategic thinking and hands-on copy development, who wants to take their skills and our agency to the next level. In short, we’re looking for our next Associate Creative Director, Content. Reporting to the Director of Brand Experience, you’ll be part copywriter, part creative strategist and part manager, who can develop ideas that embrace the heart of brand and tie in cultural relevance, innovative approaches and human-centric thinking. And you can help others do the same.

You'll be responsible for driving and overseeing the creation of compelling brands, and strategic and integrated campaigns—not only writing copy and generating ideas, but being a voice in the room to connect the strategic dots for other writers, designers and video editors in the room. You'll be instrumental in crafting narratives that engage customers, drive conversions, and elevate brand perception. You should be curious and always asking “How can we make this better?”

You should be interested in not just understanding the art of copy, but the art of video, paid media and other cross-departmental possibilities that can elevate the brand work we do. You embody our spirit of collaboration, humility, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

You’ll be asked to be a wild thinker, someone who can be so strategic and dreamy that it’s scary (in a good way)–and a passionate collaborator and mentor. You will also manage writers as part of this role, supporting in elevating their skill set as well as being an editor for deliverables to ensure quality and on-brand messaging across our client roster.

Does this sound like you? We look forward to reading your application.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Associate Creative Director, Content, your responsibilities will include:

  • Content Strategy & Creative Leadership:
    • Conceptualize and drive creative messaging concepts and content strategies for engaging digital performance content, campaigns, and narratives. This includes crafting compelling, channel-appropriate messaging and ensuring tonal consistency and cohesion across all assets.
    • Lead the charge on brand naming projects, brand line writing, brand book development (such as voice and tone guidelines), and other key brand development initiatives
    • Actively participate in and direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions with project teams.
    • Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex business objectives into actionable, on-brand messages and compelling strategic briefs.
    • Be an advocate for innovation and wild ideas—when others think it’s impossible, you look for ways we could make it happen.
    • Present to clients, taking the creative lead on key accounts and projects, both internally and externally.
  • Team Development & Mentorship:
    • Oversee and mentor our talented team of junior, mid, and senior-level content writers, as well as creative subcontractor partners with support from the Director of Brand Experience, Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer.
    • As the day-to-day manager, you'll guide them on writing best practices, editing, quality assurance and overall professional growth across various channels, formats, and asset types – from website copy to creative campaigns and video scripts.
    • Evaluate your direct reports' creative performance, providing constructive feedback and guiding their professional development.
  • Content Creation & Production Oversight:
    • Be ready for hands-on work at every stage of a project's lifecycle, from accurate estimating and qualitative research to brainstorming creative content themes, writing compelling long and short-form content, and proofing.
    • Direct the entire production efforts for long and short-format videos. This involves actions such as writing scripts, building pre-production decks with designers and video team members, collaborating on art direction for photo and video, working with production companies, cinematographers, and editors to produce emotionally compelling videos that drive action.
    • Consistently balance creative and performance content writing, learning not only what’s going to win awards, but what’s going to drive leads (or whatever our KPI is)
    • Collaborate with creative design partners—often on the fly—to adapt copy to work within varying formats and accommodate stakeholder feedback as necessary.
    • Be a sounding board for team members across all departments in order to pull content offerings through in new and exciting ways. We live and breathe our creative digital performance approach.
  • Strategic & Operational Excellence:
    • Stay on top of metrics and reporting, industry trends, emerging platforms, best practices, and the competitive landscape to keep our work cutting-edge.
    • Identify and implement improvements to existing content processes and workflows to maximize efficiency.
    • Embrace, explore, experiment and implement new AI tools to help us be more efficient and creative while still emphasizing the importance of human-centric thinking. We believe it can support us, not replace us.
    • Advocate for content and creative on your key accounts, working with client success managers to pitch new ideas.
    • Build relationships with clients alongside client success managers, including some travel to quarterly board meetings, photo and video shoots, etc.

Who You Are:

  • You're more than just a wordsmith; you're a leader, a strategist, and a natural collaborator.
  • You possess an impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions. But you also appreciate that just because something is trendy, doesn’t make it the best choice for a client. Basically, you “get it” and can be nuanced in your writing.
  • You have a proven track record of exceptional strategic and creative content thinking, demonstrated through a compelling professional online portfolio.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives with autonomy, trusted to manage client deliverables and department objectives with minimal daily supervision, while knowing when to collaborate and seek alignment.
  • You lead with good intent in everything you do, are humble, and genuinely celebrate the success of others. You champion collaboration, lifting up your team and fostering an environment where the best ideas win, regardless of their origin. Big egos aren't your style.
  • You possess strong communication skills and strive to make meaningful connections both within your team, but also across departments and with external partners.
  • You're a positive force, a true team player who contributes actively to a great team culture.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or a related field, PLUS 7+ years of experience in digital copywriting, content creation, and managing a creative writing team at a leading digital agency,
  • Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional online portfolio is essential including work specific to brands, campaigns and integrated thinking.
  • 2+ years of experience specifically managing and mentoring copywriters.
  • Experience presenting and advocating for creative ideas with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to bring your ideas to life.
  • Experience with video production from start to finish, including scriptwriting, collaborating on art direction for photo and video, and working effectively with production companies and video editors.

What’s in It for You

  • The chance to work on some of the most innovative Fortune 500 clients in the world (Adobe, FICO, Google) at an award-winning, industry-leading creative digital performance agency.
  • Dream big while staying local. Nevada clients, especially those in the travel and tourism industry, get the same creative expertise and innovation (because we love our home turf).
  • An impressive benefits package, plus a workplace emphasis on ongoing learning and growth: regular guest speakers and seminars, in-depth roundtable discussions, and of course, the opportunity to learn from some of the smartest and coolest coworkers around.
  • A see-it-to-believe-it time-off policy: two companywide paid weeks off every year (one week in July and another near the winter holidays) plus 10 days of personal vacation (to start), 5 days of sick & safe time, and 10 paid company-observed holidays.
