Celebrating International Women’s Day with Noble’s Inspiring Female Leaders
In honor of International Women’s Day 2024, we asked some of the inspiring women leaders at Noble Studios to share their advice for fostering a continuous growth mindset and supporting women and girls in leadership, decision-making, business and STEM.
Here are their insights on how we can all strive to meet Noble’s mantra, “Let’s Be Better Every Day”:
Season Lopiccolo, COO and Co-Founder of Noble Studios:
“Over the last 20 years of being in business, I have always tried to keep two things as my constant: stay curious and be courageous. We grow and become better if we’re always learning. We don’t always know everything and the more we learn from others, the better we become. As a female in business, it can be challenging. Your courage can be tested a lot. But as I’ve gotten older and wiser, I’ve learned the importance of being courageous enough to get out there and say what I’m thinking. I can be my own worst advocate sometimes and it’s important to get the things out of your head when you need to. I’ve only seen positive reflections from both staying curious and being courageous.”
Kate Sikora, Managing Partner of Noble Performance:
“My advice for women in the workplace who are coming into their careers is, first and foremost, to be kind to each other. We’re all in this together and need to look after each other. Secondly, choose your battles. You don’t have to go after every single one. Just think about the ones that will be the best and most strategic for you.”
Meg Pescio, Director of Client Experience at Noble Studios:
“My advice for being better every day is to build up your professional network. Surround yourself with people who will support you, build you up and open doors you wouldn’t otherwise have. Find someone who gives you new skills and perspectives you didn’t think about or pushes you to be outside your comfort zone. You don’t have to do this alone. The right network can get you so much farther than you could get by yourself.”
Somer Athari, Associate Technical Director:
“Here is my tip: advocate for your passions. Whatever your interests, fight for yourself and advocate for what you want. If you want to play the drums and not the violin or go into robotics, engineering, mechanics, or welding, then this workforce needs you. They need your perspective and that diversity to thrive.”
Kelsey Audas, Associate Director of Client Experience:
“One piece of advice I have for women entering the workforce or looking to grow their career is to remember the importance of active listening. In my role at Noble, I consistently interact with clients, prospective clients, partners and colleagues. Coming into conversations with an open heart and open mind and seeking to understand what the other person is saying can go a long way for your career.
Gabbi Hall, Creative Director:
“When I think about my six years at Noble Studios, two big things come to mind. One, advocate for yourself and be clear about what you want and want to accomplish. Two, be willing to put in the work. Even if you say something out loud and want to manifest it, it doesn’t mean it will come right to you. It takes work, training and investment, but you can get there.”
Danni Winter, Performance Marketing Director:
“My tip is that vulnerability can be a superpower. Work is more than just the daily deliverables – an email here, a piece of copy over there. It’s about creating relationships with those around us, whether that’s our colleagues, clients or community. You build trust if you are open and vulnerable with those around you. It also helps with professional growth and development. You make a more resilient character if you’re open to trying new things. It helps creatively, so you’re willing to think outside the box. Be vulnerable with your ideas – that creates better, more innovative, long-term thinking. Vulnerability is not a weakness—it’s a strength. It builds a resilient person. It takes courage to be vulnerable. So don’t be scared to show your true, authentic self.
Danielle Christensen, Performance Marketing Director:
“One of the mantras that I constantly repeat, that helps me be better every single day, is to understand while it’s so important for you to have your own opinions and your thoughts, it’s equally important to know where other individuals are coming from when they express their thoughts or opinions. This helps me be well-rounded when looking at a problem or a solution.
Tierney Moore, Business Development Manager:
“When it comes to being better every day, never be afraid to ask questions. It’s ok to take that leap of faith and ask if you need a little more direction or don’t quite understand. And don’t be afraid to work hard. I follow the mantra that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. And I truly believe that if you put in the effort, the results will show themselves.”
Lisa Holden, Recruitment & Human Resources Compliance Manager:
“My tip for women and girls who want to succeed in business is to know yourself. Figure out your strengths and the skills you are best at and own them. Don’t feel embarrassed or like it’s bragging. It’s important that you live in your strength because that will make you better at what you do.”
On this International Women’s Day, let the insights from these exceptional leaders at Noble Studios inspire you to embrace a mindset of continuous growth and improvement.
Let’s work together to create a world where every woman and girl has the opportunity to lead, succeed and make a lasting impact. The time to act is now—embrace the challenge. Let Be Better Every Day.
