Somer Athari

Somer Athari embodies the success story of a professional who has expanded her craft by exploring various positions in the company. With nearly two decades at Noble Studios, she has become our resident unicorn – constantly thinking beyond the status quo and finding innovative solutions for clients. 

As our Associate Technical Director, Somer uses her unique blend of digital marketing expertise and business acumen to co-manage and mentor the Digital Experience department. She has a rich understanding of the project planning through launch phases of the process and has a reputation for being organized, hyper-focused on problem-solving and dedicated to getting shit done.

Throughout her time with Noble, Somer has managed countless award winning projects for some of the agency’s largest clients. In 2014, Somer was named a Tech Star by Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship. She also served on the WordCampUS Organizing Committee in 2024 and as the chair of Noble Studios’ Culture Committee.

As a native Nevadan, Somer is passionate about her Reno community. She served as the past president of the Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association, where she was an active board member for 5+ years. Additionally, she was a member of Sierra Regional Roller Derby for more than six years and held a Board of Directors position on the league before retiring in 2023.

Somer earned her bachelor’s in English and certificate in Project Management Essentials from the University of Nevada, Reno. She also spent a semester abroad at the Universitat d’Alicant in Alicante, Spain, igniting her love for travel and observing different cultures, which continues to influence her worldview and approach to problem-solving.

Outside of work, Somer is passionate about getting the most out of life. She is obsessed with traveling both domestically and internationally, having visited 18 different countries and around half of the states in the U.S. She’s jumped out of an airplane five times (and says she’d do it again in a heartbeat). When she and her wife aren’t traveling, they’re working toward creating an off-the-grid, sustainable family farm. Somer cans many of the foods she grows and also dabbles in making her own lotions and lip balms.
