Noble Studios helped Travel Nevada bring that spirit to life through an integrated brand campaign that blends storytelling with immersive activations, brand partnerships and innovative digital executions across multiple platforms.

When people think of Nevada, they often limit their perception to Las Vegas, Reno and the desert. To encourage rural exploration, the “Get a Little Out There” campaign invited visitors to experience the out-there parts of Nevada, revealing the state’s richness beyond known attractions while differentiating Nevada from the saturated outdoor recreation brand position of other states.

A Curiously Uncommon Campaign

In 2024, Noble Studios worked with Travel Nevada to create an integrated marketing campaign that is as unique as Nevada itself. The photography uses bold, lifestyle shots, which lean more editorial than typical tourism shots. The copy leverages poetic writing inspired by Nevada’s cowboy poetry. Colors and patterns that contradict the rugged desert perceptions of Nevada—like bright blues that tie to the endless skies, yellows that pull from the wildflowers of Jarbidge and Lamoille Canyon, oranges from Valley of Fire and greens that pull from the pine trees of Carson Valley. 

The campaign’s execution spanned a variety of strategic tactics, including a reimagined website with a Trip Planning tool for a more personalized experience. Paid social, display and video content highlighted off-the-beaten-path adventures with variations tailored to audience interests, intent and location. Email nurture campaigns helped convert leads into engaged travelers while partnerships with travel influencers brought authentic Nevada experiences to life across digital channels. Print and out-of-home media extended the campaign’s reach, bridging the gap between digital engagement and real-world presence. Additionally, Spanish-language adaptations across radio, video and social platforms ensured the message resonated with a diverse audience.

Deso Supply Co x Travel Nevada

The Deso Supply Co. × Travel Nevada collection is more than just merch—it’s a stylish nod to Nevada’s hidden gems, inviting exploration and giving back to the state’s natural heritage. Launched in Spring 2025, it features rugged, small-batch apparel—hats, beanies, tees, and camp shirts—adorned with illustrations that celebrate the spirit of exploration and the state’s unique landscapes. Wild-at-Heart Branded Entertainment

Noble Studios partnered with travel show host “Mac Macintosh” to create Travel Nevada’s signature “Get A Little Out There On The Great Basin Highway” video series. This humorous, self-aware content followed Mac exploring Nevada’s hidden gems from the Elgin Schoolhouse State Historic Site to Great Basin National Park’s Lehman Caves. The meta-narrative style, which playfully broke the fourth wall, resonated strongly with digital audiences seeking authentic travel content, generating over 2 million impressions and extensive social sharing.


Off-The-Beaten-Path Videos

From gazing up at night skies to soaking in a natural hot spring, Nevada offers anything but ordinary experiences. Noble Studios needed to show the hidden gems that can be explored and uncovered for those who are willing to “Get a Little Out There.” We developed platform-specific video assets optimized for different digital environments. Our video ads showcased a myriad of activities from Nevada’s dark skies and hot springs to the International Car Forest in both :15 and :06 formats for social feeds, while longer-form sponsored content drove deeper engagement. Each video format was strategically designed to meet viewers where they were in their digital travel journey, from inspiration to planning.


A Website as Uncommon as the Characters within the Silver State

At Noble Studios, we specialize in creating Valuable Personalized Experiences, or VPEs, as we like to call them. That was the approach we took when it came to elevating TravelNevada.com. Our goal was to transform the site from a static brochure into an interactive planning companion. The site received improved UI/UX enhancements, including an intuitive Trip Planner tool and integrated favoriting to help users create personalized travel itineraries. The design was updated with colors inspired by Nevada’s diverse landscapes and attractions, while also being optimized for ADA accessibility. Additional features, such as interactive quizzes and unique content layouts, created a more engaging, user-friendly experience that better reflected the heart of the brand. These updates led to a 29% increase in engaged sessions and a 38% rise in partner referrals.


Activations In The Wild

While many people in the state were already familiar with Travel Nevada, we needed to bring the brand to life with wild-at-heart, immersive activations. From VR experiences in Chicago to a custom-built pop-up saloon, each activation encouraged people to “Get a Little Out There” while seamlessly connecting the in-person experiences to ongoing digital engagement.

Off-Beat Solutions for an Off-Beat State 

With the brand platform firmly in place, the “Get a Little Out There” brand line was born. This line speaks to the number one goal of getting people out of the cities to explore the heart of Nevada. It’s an invitation, encouragement and call to action to seek our uncommon variety, curious contradictions, and to go do and explore. 

From there, the work took on a life of its own as Noble Studios put together a new color palette, typography, iconography, photography and a robust brand guide. We created social and print ads using lyrical copywriting inspired by Nevada’s cowboy poetry. Noble developed a mantra video and a YouTube video series, traveling 2,300+ miles and visiting over 24 locations to showcase all the Silver State has to offer. We also refreshed the website design to reflect the “Get a Little Out There” brand. 

Outcomes

The “Get a Little Out There” campaign stands as a testament to the power of strategic marketing, comprehensive research and creative storytelling in capturing travelers’ imaginations. The campaign inspired longer stays and more adventures in the Silver State, with 16% of people booking a Nevada trip directly following exposure to the integrated marketing campaign and 17% extending an already planned stay. TravelNevada.com saw a 14% increase in total site sessions, a 29% rise in engaged sessions and a 42% boost in in-state visitation on the site.
