Noble Deeds Meets Family Respite Care: A Story of Transformation
Imagine being a caregiver for a child with special needs, balancing daily tasks with love and care, but longing for a moment to rejuvenate.
For almost 30 years, Family Respite Care of Nevada has been that breath of fresh air for countless families in Nevada.
This is their story.
Introduction to Family Respite Care of Nevada
Family Respite Care of Nevada (formerly Northern Nevada R.A.V.E. Family Foundation) provides invaluable respite care for caregivers of children with disabilities, special health needs and children in foster care. Their programs give caregivers the time they need to recharge, whether for a workout, date night or family movie night, ultimately enhancing their ability to care for their children.
Serving children from three months to 22 years old, these programs also offer immersive volunteering opportunities for local youth, fostering a supportive community. For almost 30 years, Family Respite Care of Nevada has been a lifeline for families, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels supported.
Despite their impactful work, they faced challenges in effectively communicating their mission and services through their brand and website. Their previous name didn’t fully capture the essence of their work, and their online presence needed enhancement to reach more families and potential donors.
So they submitted to be a Noble Deeds recipient.
Noble Deeds and Our Commitment to Community Impact
For more than a decade, Noble Studios has been dedicated to making a positive impact on our community through the Noble Deeds program. This initiative has seen us donate over $1.4 million in creative digital performance marketing services to nonprofits across Nevada.
From web development and digital strategies to comprehensive branding projects, our goal has always been to elevate the awareness and effectiveness of the organizations that make our state a better place to live.
The Noble Deeds program has supported a diverse range of nonprofits, including the Discovery Museum, Join INC., Communities in Schools Nevada and Crisis Support Services of Nevada. In total, we have dedicated more than 8,000 hours of work to these projects, helping to amplify their missions and broaden their reach within the community.
In 2023, as we celebrated ten years of Noble Deeds, we are proud to have selected Family Respite Care of Nevada as our recipient. Our commitment to this program reflects our belief that good deeds are nice but Noble Deeds are better.
Korine Viehweg, Executive Director of Family Respite Care of Nevada, highlighted the critical need: “Communicating effectively with our clients and donors was a real struggle for us. When we applied for Noble Deeds, we were hopeful they could provide the marketing help we desperately needed. We trusted that Noble Studios could help us create a brand that truly reflects what we stand for and helps us connect better with everyone—families, clients, donors, volunteers and the community.”
Getting to Work
Being selected as the 2023 recipient of Noble Deeds was a significant milestone for Family Respite Care of Nevada. Our journey together began with a comprehensive needs assessment to determine the most impactful ways to support the organization. We identified that a refreshed brand strategy, visual identity, and an SEO-fueled website redesign were essential to effectively communicate their mission and reach more families in need.
Brand Strategy
Our first step was developing a new brand strategy. We conducted stakeholder interviews, brand research and competitive analysis to gain a deep understanding of Family Respite Care of Nevada’s unique position in the community. The result was a powerful new brand platform that resonated deeply with their team and stakeholders. The new strategy focused on their core idea: strengthening Nevada families through respite care, powered by community-based programs and youth volunteers ultimately building a kinder more inclusive world.
Visual Identity and Logo
With the new strategy in place, we tackled Family Respite Care of Nevada’s visual identity. This included developing a new name that clearly communicates their mission and allows for future expansion. We also created a new logo and visual elements that better represent their work and values. The output included a brand book and guidelines for consistent messaging and visual representation ensuring that every aspect of their identity speaks to their mission of support and care.
Website Redesign with SEO
A crucial part of our collaboration was doing a ground up website redesign. We conducted a content audit, performed keyword discovery and planned a new site architecture. The result is a modern user-friendly website that clearly showcases their services and impact. The new WordPress-based site empowers their team to easily update content, add photos and manage their online presence independently. To enhance their online visibility, we implemented a comprehensive SEO strategy including keyword research, content optimization and local SEO tactics significantly increasing their visibility in search results and helping more families find their vital services.
Rolling Out the New Brand and Website
After developing the new brand strategy, visual identity and website for Family Respite Care of Nevada, we carefully planned and executed a comprehensive rollout. This included internal training for the Family Respite Care team, providing them with the tools and resources needed to manage their new brand and website effectively.
We also assisted in creating a brand rollout plan that included social media announcements, press releases and community events to introduce the new brand to the public.
Reaction and Feedback
The reaction to the new brand and website has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The new brand and website have been a game-changer for us! The positive feedback has been overwhelming,” said Viehweg. “Families now have a clear path to our services, and donors can easily see how their support makes a difference. This change has brought so much energy and visibility to our mission.”
Families, volunteers and donors have expressed appreciation for the clear and engaging way Family Respite Care of Nevada now communicates its mission and services. The updated visual identity and user-friendly website have made it easier for families to access the support they need and for donors to understand the impact of their contributions.
The new brand has also resonated deeply within the community, enhancing Family Respite Care’s visibility and credibility.

What’s Next for Family Respite Care of Nevada
With the new brand and website in place, Family Respite Care of Nevada is well-positioned for future growth. They plan to expand their services to reach more families across Nevada and potentially beyond. The organization is also focusing on increasing volunteer engagement and securing additional funding to support their mission.
By continuing to build on the solid foundation established through this collaboration, Family Respite Care of Nevada aims to strengthen their community impact and provide even more support to families in need.
